DEMON FACE WARDS OFF THE EVIL
Indians believe that negative energy is always there around us and negativity of a person comes through his eyes. If he sees their house the negativity may impact the house and family. To prevent this negative energy from entering the house devils face is hung in front of the house. They are believed to neutralize power. It is a social belief that hanging the devils face can ward off evil eyes and misfortune.
There is a story behind this.
One Yogi disturbed Lord Shiva and he created a demon and ordered the demon to eat the yogi. The Yogi then falls at Lord Shiva's feet asking for forgiveness. Lord Shiva asks the demon to eat itself and forgives the yogi. And the demon ate itself as the Lord Instructed. It is considered that the one who can eat itself is the greatest and above all gods.

BEWARE OF THE BANYAN TREE AT NIGHT:

Banyan is considered to be large,dry and season decIdious or semi ever green tree and it's leaves moves continuously when the air is still.Some believe this as a holy happening while other believes that ghosts, unhappy souls resides on these trees and make the leaves move continuously. It is believed that during night evil spirit wonder around these trees and going near these trees may make the ghosts possess the innocent spirit of person passing by the trees.
Any tree inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide at night.Large amount of carbon dioxide is released by banyan tree which makes it difficult to breath there and people faint due to minimal breathing rather than ghost,unhappy souls.
