As most of us know, India is a place where tradition coexists with the expediting pace of modernism. Even though most of us believe that we have progressed farther than were we were certain beliefs and aspects remain the same. Such is the case of superstitions.
Superstitions have been passed down generations and we knowingly or unknowingly end up following or practicing it. Some of them offer some kind of logical explanation and some do not make any sense to this present day.

So this is one superstition that is almost redundant in the present day. This superstition started in the earlier times when electricity was scarce or wasn’t available to everyone. Back in the old days it was pretty risky cutting your nails in the dark. Fortunately, in the present day we don’t face the electricity shortage and are free to cut our nails whenever we want.
THE 6 FINGERS LUCK
It is believed that a person who has 6 fingers will be very lucky. Many say the sixth finger my accompany fortune into the person's life. If a person has an extra finger on the right hand, that person is said to have a lot of luck on their side. If the person has an extra finger on the left hand , it is considered a bad omen. But if the person has extra fingers on both sides, total 12 fingers, that person is said to have infinite luck and will be able to attain fame in the future.
